is a renaissance bro who lives and works in portland, oregon, but she has also had previous lives in maryland and california. when not geeking out on experimental media or dreaming in technicolor, she reads and writes, makes gourmet edible cocktails using gelatin, walks her magnificent dog shirley, and sets goals. she co-directs local microcinema grand detour and experimental film festival portland, and is the communications director of the museum of pocket art. gene kelly is her spirit animal.
through contemporary american folk art that re-imagines subjectivity and plays hopscotch with the cartesian split, she is constantly investigating the body’s potential to express intellectual and emotional concepts. she positions herself as a semi-permeable membrane, by turns mirror and hammer but above all an empathetic devil’s advocate.
